Featured Floral Designer for March 2001

Our Featured Floral Designer this month is Kathy Wright of Kathy Wright & Company. Kathy is a San Diego-based designer with more than 33 years of floral industry experience.

Kathy says that even after all these years, she has an extreme love of creating floral arrangements that make people happy. Her company specializes in creating an entire look for an event, combining florals, lighting, plants, specialty linens, and room design to achieve a desired effect.

A native San Diegan, Kathy has provided florals for many community events, including the San Diego Museum of Art, the San Diego Zoo's Ritz event, and the San Diego Symphony. Hers was one of two floral companies selected by the Republican National Committee to provide floral decor for their 1996 National Convention.

Kathy holds a state teaching credential and has taught floral design for 10 years. She spends 80+ hours a week at her business, and as shown in the photos below, the work really shows.
