Featured Floral Designer for Spring 2003

This quarter's Featured Floral Designer spent many years in the Missouri floral industry before relocating to Texas. Carol Bice, AIFD, AAF, FAM, has served in many areas of the industry, with widespread knowledge and experience in design, marketing, display, teaching, and managing floral services. Carol produced the floral displays for Tayama's booth at the recent CCFC Trade Mission in Dallas, Texas in March 2003.

Carol is a member of AIFD, and has served on the SAF National Marketing Council. She is an FTD Master Designer and Judge. She was selected in 1996 by the Olympic Committee to manage and run the flower shop in the Olympic Village in Atlanta, and has served on the inaugural festivities design team for Presidents Clinton and Bush. At the 2002 FTD Convention, Carol was presented with the first annual FTD Industry Service Award.

Carol travels extensively, sharing her talent, knowledge and love of flowers. Since she is also a pianist and organist, many of her industry educational programs combine music with her dramatic use of floral color.

Carol and her husband, Buddy, own Bice's Florist in Hurst, Texas, with five stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area.
