Welcome to this quarter's edition of Kimberly's Korner. In this installment, I'm going to demonstrate how you can combine greens with tropical flowers to create some striking wedding bouquets.

Anthuriums are beautiful flowers but are often a challenge to arrange for a wedding bouquet. I like to put space between the flowers and point each flower in a different direction. I find one of the best complementary foliages to create an anthurium bouquet is monstera leaf. These beautiful, glossy green leaves also give the perfect contrast to anthurium flowers in red, pink or white. I used 7 mini anthuriums in this bouquet with 4 monstera leaves. Mini anthuriums are much more manageable in a bouquet than the giant ones however, the giant Anthuriums also work very well with Monstera leaves.

Giant seeded eucalyptus makes a beautiful framework for any orchid. Its strong sturdy branches act like an armature around the delicate blossoms. Here I wired the cattleyas in order to keep them amidst the beautiful greenery.

Dendrobium orchids are sometimes difficult to arrange in wedding bouquets because of their length. You can make them cascade or put them in an arm bouquet to accentuate their length. For a beautiful and simple hand-tied arm bouquet, I found podacarpus to be the perfect mixer. Podacarpus is typically green, but I found this black variety to be an exotic and wonderful contrast. This arm bouquet is very long and dramatic and the bride holds it in the crook of her arm, gracing her elbow.
