Do you think glass bubble bowls are meant only for dish gardens or goldfish? This month, we'll show you a simple, elegant and cost-effective bubble bowl arrangement featuring white cattleya orchids combined with holiday ornaments.
Chances are you've already got a bubble bowl and some extra ornaments in your shop. Pull that inventory off the shelf and let's get creative!

Creating a holiday bubble bowl arrangement
Start with a large bubble bowl and some standard white holiday ornaments. When placing the ornaments in the bowl, make sure that you mix up sizes, shades and textures to create the most eye-pleasing mix.

These are the materials that I've chosen to create this arrangement: white Cattleya Orchids, 1-stem Epidendrum orchid, and 1-stem Asparagus Myerii foliage.
Decide how and where you want to place the orchids, then make sure you prep your orchids by placing them in water pics, then tape and wire them with green wooden floral sticks as needed. I chose just one stem large orange Epidendrum and one stem Myerii foliage to balance out the orchids. Remember, simplicity is key when featuring orchids in any arrangement.

Here is the finished arrangement. While this arrangement is simple and elegant, it is something unusual because most people have not seen Cattleyas used in a free form arrangement. Therefore, you can confidently place it in a corporate or professional office. As long as there is adequate water in the water piks, you can be assured of at least one week's shelf life.
This arrangement can also be quite inspiring as a table centerpiece. The color scheme and ornaments can also be used throughout Thanksgiving and the December holidays.
